Introduction
According to the latest amendment in UAE COVID entry rules 2022. The UAE government has eased many COVID entry requirements. Visitors and tourists from all over the world now do not have to follow COVID entry requirements as before. UAE government-imposed restrictions on the Expatriates and visitors entering the country to take the RT PCR test necessarily. But, now no RT PCR Test is required to cross the UAE borders. The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority also made some other changes for foreign nationals who want to enter UAE other than the RT PCR test.

UAE COVID 19 entry rules
No RT PCR rule: According to NCEMA, all the passengers from foreign countries flying to Dubai can now visit more easily. Even though the visitor is traveling to Dubai or any other airport in UAE do not need COVID test if they fulfill the following conditions:
- The vaccination status of the visitor or tourist is "fully vaccinated".
- Have COVID 19 certificate and it should include a QR code.
- Taken two jabs of the vaccine.
- Taken world health organization approved vaccine.
NCEMA also stated that people who are infected with COVID have to follow previous protocols only. There is no need to wear wristbands now. Violating quarantine rules can cause up to a fine of AED 50,000. Wearing masks is necessary for closed public areas like hotels, clubs, etc. According to the new provision in Dubai for COVID protocol and rules, wearing of mask outdoor or in an open area is an individual choice. People in contact with COVID-positive patients directly don't have to quarantine. But these people if work in public office, government office, etc. Then they should mandatorily take PCR tests. The test should be taken for five days in a row. Every Emirates in UAE can make its own rule for PCR testing. And NCEMA has also given the privilege to them to decide the duration of quarantine in their Emirate.
The COVID 19 entry rules 2022 can vary depending on the Emirate one is traveling.
COVID 19 entry rules 2022- Dubai
- All tourists, visitors, and passengers transiting through Dubai can now visit without any need to get GDRFA approval.
- UAE expatriates or resident requirement for getting GDRFA approval before visiting is also removed. It means nationalities like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc do not need GDRFA approval to return to Dubai.
- The visa requirement hasn't changed, foreign nationals have to get visas in advance according to their nation. Advance visas for Dubai can be taken via the Emirates transit visa website. Visa on arrival and visa-free travel to Dubai is only possible for eligible travelers and tourists.
- Document required: traveler or passenger visiting Dubai has to show at least one document on arrival.
- COVID vaccination
- OR RT PCR
- OR Medical certificate with QR code. The certificate must prove and state that the individual has recently (one month before) recovered from the virus.
- Passengers may be asked to take the RT PCR test at the airport in Dubai.

COVID 19 entry rules 2022 - Abu Dhabi
- No RT PCR test is needed if the tourist or foreign national is visiting Abu Dhabi and fulfill the below-mentioned criteria:
- Vaccinated
- Passenger age is less than 16 years
- Medical certificate (that prove recent COVID recovery)
- No quarantine for passengers and tourists who are healthy and have no symptoms.
- Rules for non-vaccinated are a little strict. If the passenger arriving in Abu Dhabi does not have a vaccination certificate or medical certificate. Then the RT PCR test is needed 48 hours before visiting Abu Dhabi.
- It is best for passengers visiting Abu Dhabi to travel with full vaccination status. As almost all the main public places and spot in Abu Dhabi is only open for vaccinated people.
- On arrival, an RT PCR test is required to enter via Abu Dhabi airport.
- For transiting- No requirement of Covid vaccine certificate of you will not leave the airport. You should check whether the vaccination certificate is needed for the last destination from Abu Dhabi or not. No RT PCR test will be needed to Transit via Abu Dhabi international airport now.

These all rules mentioned above will apply to every tourist and passenger entering UAE after February 26, 2022. The broad relaxation of COVID 19 requirements will help the foreign national a lot. As no RT PCR test have to be taken mandatorily by a vaccinated passenger visiting UAE.No no quarantine for vaccinated as well as visitors with medical certificate or Covid recovery proof. It will make the travel to UAE easier for vaccinated ones.
